Profhilo® is an injectable Hyaluronic Acid yet not a dermal filler. It is excellent in providing your skin with the hydration it requires from within while also working on stimulating collagen and elastin production. The result is plumper skin, tighter, glowing and healthy looking with reduced fine lines. The great thing about Profhilo® is that it could be used in conjunction with anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers or prescription skin treatments with little to no downtime.

Your Profhilo Treatment Questions Answered

What is Profhilo?

is basically made of a pure form of Hyaluronic Acid which is naturally produced by our bodies. Unfortunately, as we grow, our bodies are unable to regenerate it. Profhilo® provides the essential supplementation that our skin requires to stay hydrated and plump. In addition, it enhances the synthesis of collagen and elastin which reduces fine lines with a tightening effect.

Is it a dermal filler?

Profhilo® is not a dermal filler, Profhilo® is a bio-remodelling injectable. It does not provide volumizing effects like a dermal filler, Profhilo® uses its pure hyaluronic acid to rejuvenate the skin by providing hydration, lifting and anti-ageing benefits. It acts as much-needed nutrition to your skin.

How is Profhilo done?

Following your consultation, if suitable, it is injected into known anatomical landmarks in the superficial layers of the skin. The procedure takes around 10 minutes to perform.

Is there any downtime?

There is minimal to no downtime, the bumps should go away in about 1 day. With only 5 injection points per side of the face/neck, the pain is generally well-tolerated.

Can I massage the lumps following the procedure?

Massaging is not required as the bumps should go away in about 1 day or even less at times. Massaging may cause inflammation on the injection sites which could result in increased redness or bruising.

How long do the effects last?

We would recommend repeating a course of 2 treatments after 6 – 9 months. The results may vary depending on individual skin and lifestyle.
